Anthony Close’s consulting practice with Momentum Advantage Partners concentrates on technology assessment and implementation; product development process and tools; factory automation and enterprise systems; and management of technology organizations. Over an extensive career, Mr. Close has gained a deep understanding of how new technologies impact product design, manufacturing, and economics, as well as how technologies can be managed to reduce risk to product launch. He also has a unique appreciation for the importance of the human element and brings proven leadership skills. He has a strong customer focus. Mr. Close has significant experience in leading development of cutting edge products and advanced product technologies at World-class centers such as McGill University, Bell Labs, ITT and Motorola. Accomplishments include development and implementation of many advanced automation systems, fully integrated CAD/CAE/CIM/MRP systems, and enterprise wide networking, IC and cell phone packaging, high density interconnect PCB technology, and display technologies. He has held positions of VP Engineering, IT Director, and Group Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. Mr. Close holds a BS and MSEE from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and spent 3 years of active service with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society, and the Technology Executive Club of Chicago, and has several patents.
