Bob Lindstrom is the energy grant manager for Rock Valley College, in Rockford, Illinois. In that capacity, Bob is Rockford’s community liaison for the various energy related programs of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the national Rebuild America program. Those projects can involve public buildings, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, commercial buildings and multi-family residential facilities. His work with Momentum Advantage Partners has focused upon the identification of opportunities for expert, rate-side utility audits that recover lost revenue for the customer and establish a baseline for planning demand-side cost reduction strategies. He was the originator of the “profit dollar protection and optimization” concept for leveraging documented utility cost savings into strategies for relieving corporate sales pressure. This strategy is particularly useful in times of tightening profit margins such as are found in dynamic supply chain relationships, and can also be used to generate cash match for grant-funded customized training or community development strategies. Bob is also the regional representative for the Best Manufacturing Practices program, funded by the US Navy, National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Maryland. Several of the BMP surveys have focused upon best ways to accomplish energy cost control and building system management. Bob is a graduate of Augustana College, Rock Island, IL, and the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY. |
