April, 2005 - The Center for Non-Profit Excellence selects MAP to conduct a pilot program on best practices in utility cost management MAP has been selected for a pilot study on best practices in utility cost management Momentum Advantage has been selected to conduct a pilot study on best practices in utility cost management by the Center for Non-Profit Excellence at Rockford College. Non-profits are concerned about rising utility costs, which result in excessive administration cost ratios and impact their ability to serve their communities. It is also in the donors’ interest for non-profits to keep non-service delivery costs to a minimum. MAP is working with the Center for Non-Profit Excellence and the Easter Seals’ Child Development Center to demonstrate how utility costs can be lowered as much as 30 percent through utility rate reductions and low energy lighting. Once this pilot has been completed, these services will be offered to all non-profits through the Center’s region.
